Katelyn Gray is an Australian stylist, consultant and mother based in NYC.
She made her fashion debut as the assistant to i-D Magazine Editor in Chief Alastair McKimm.
Katelyn subsequently became Fashion Editor at the widely praised publication, The Last Magazine.
Katelyn has a deep appreciation and understanding of traditional crafts making which she studied throughout college, obtaining her Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Textiles in Sydney in 2009, prior to relocating to New York in 2010.
Katelyn's style mixes high fashion with the more unique one of a kind items she discovers through foraging for hand made and artisanal pieces.
Her work strives to communicate the tactility and emotion in the object, bringing in the viewer to feel the textures in the fabric, the sensation in the light, the scent of the moment.
Her works stand as an allegory to the uniqueness of the individual object, and as an alternative to the mass produced.
An ode to the artistry of hand made crafts and the artisanal nature of fashion, creating a conversation where innovation, tradition and sustainability converge.

"A handcrafted, individually made garment means no two pieces can be the same. A slower and more intricate process that establishes a true human connection with the garment is something I believe to be very special and unique" - Katelyn Gray
